Women’s Health
Professional, confidential medical advice for women including breast checks, menopause, pap smears, contraception – implanon and Mirena insertion, IVF, sexual health, family planning and more.

Infant, child and adolescent medical advice in relation to immunisations and treatment for allergies, colds, hand, foot and mouth and other childhood diseases.
Men’s Health

Home Visits – Local
Some of our doctors offer home visits which are generally for current patients who are too ill or lack mobility to attend Bay Village Medical Centre.

Our doctors assist with approved or related medical Work Cover treatments to support you to aid your recovery, clinical intervention and management.
Results | Referrals | Prescriptions
Please book an appointment for:
Results – Following up test results tests with your doctor – Please make an appointment on the day of your consultation unless advised by your doctor. If your results are urgent, you will be contacted by the practice.
Referrals and Prescriptions – Your prescriptions and annual referrals are due for renewal. If your prescription runs out please inform our receptionists, we’ll accommodate you with the next appointment available.
All our doctors have access to your file, so if your doctor isn’t available another of our team’s doctors will be able to renew your prescription
If you are unable to collect your prescriptions please provide a signed consent form to keep on your file so a friend or relative can collect them.
Bulk Billing Conditions
As of 1st January 2022 – Bay Village Medical Centre will be a “Mixed Billing” medical practice. Valid Concession Card holders will continue to be “Bulk Billed” on Monday to Friday consultations (excluding weekends and public holidays) as follows:
- Pension Card | Healthcare Card | Senior Healthcare Card
- Children aged 0-16 years with a Medicare Card
- Secondary school students aged 16-18 years with a Medicare Card and Student ID.
An out of pocket expense may be payable for some of our patients who do not meet “Bulk Billing” criteria. Please check with our friendly reception staff and discuss with your doctor.
Procedures – Some procedures and medicals are not covered by Medicare and attract a private fee.
No Bulk Billing on Saturdays or Sundays.
Overseas visitors and non-Medicare Card holders – Are charged fees according to their level of consultation. Please ask our friendly reception staff for fees and details.
After Hours Doctor Access

Patient Health Information Management Policy – When you register as a patient of our practice, you provide consent for our GPs and practice staff to access and use your personal information so they can provide you with the best possible healthcare. In certain circumstances we may share it with third parties to assist in the management of your health.
